Reduced pressure on the horse's sternum and flexible girth parts make a difference for the horse.
RP Dressage girth is made in two parts, a round plate and a specially designed saddle girth, with elastic at both ends, which slides freely through the plate. The mobility in the girth makes it easier for the saddle to stay in place and means that the horse is less disturbed by the girth.

The RP saddle girth has several advantages, because the plate lies still while the saddle girth constantly follows the horse's movements, the saddle also lies more still, the risk of chafing/nips is reduced and the plate's empty contents reduce the pressure on the horse's sensitive sternum.
There are many horses that show greater freedom of the shoulder and less tension with this saddle girth.

This model has a smaller plate than the original, to fit even slightly smaller and slimmer horses.
